Mack Howard Harper, 82, of Denton, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Denton Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 20, 1924 in Aubrey, to Wiley Franklin and Ethel (Mack) Harper. He attended Public Schools, and was a member of the Friendship Church. He served in the U S Navy during WW II as a Seaman 1st Class from 1943 to 1945. He was married to Betty Fifer, in Denton on August 2, 1947, she died on Oct. 24, 2005. He retired from the Mooreâ€™s Business Forms after 40 years.
A funeral service will be Friday June 30, 2006 10:30 A.M. in the Friendship Church, 3813 W. University Dr. Denton , with the Rev. John Stout and Rev. Don Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home 705 N. Locust, Denton, for visitation Thursday 6-29,2006 from 6 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. The family wishes to thank Denton Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care of Mack.
Mr. Harper is survived by two sons, Gary Mack and wife Sue Harper, and Jason Cody Harper, all of Denton, two brothers, Truman Harper, of Plano, and Kenneth Harper, of Denton. Five Grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Franklin Harper, and a granddaughter, Kimberly Renee Harper. Pallbearers will be Randy Harper, Dennis Harper, Dewayne Harper, Tony McDade, Glenn Mayo, and Mike Hunter.
