Joyce Watkins Holmes, 59, of Denton, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Longmeadow Care Center in Justin. Mrs. Holmes was born on October 14, 1953 in Sunflower, Mississippi to Jessie and Lucille (Foster) Watkins. She was married to William “Bill” Leroy Holmes on June 21, 1969 in Denton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God faith. She is survived by her husband, Bill Holmes of Denton; sisters, Sarah Black of New Albany, MS, Robbie Redfearn and her husband John of Denton; brother, Gus Foster and his wife Edna of Lewisville; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday November 20, 2012 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery, Denton. Rev. Glen Daniels will officiate the service.
